About Us
For the first time we have brought together in one place, all
the help we could find for Parents/Carers in Great Yarmouth.
There is probably more out there, so we will do our best to
keep the information updated when new ways of finding support
come to our notice.
Why Has This Web-Site Been Created?
All parents, including Single Parents, Step-Parents,
Adoptive Parents, Grandparents and other Carers, put a lot of
time and energy into the difficult job of bringing up children.
Most other jobs have some kind of training to help a person
do their best, but we don't normally get that kind of support
with the most important job of all! As parents (or those taking
on the same role), we sometimes feel left to struggle on without
the help we need.
NOT ANY MORE!
Who is this Site For?
All families living in the borough of Great Yarmouth, (including
Gorleston, and the Northern/Southern Villages), who have children
or young people (up to the age of 18), linked with them in some
way.
What You Will Find?
1) A list of people you can talk to, who support Parents
and Carers.
2) A list of activities in Great Yarmouth where you can meet
other parents, and find out together how to cope with the many
aspects of being a parent.
3) The opportunity to choose organisations or activities that
suit you and contact the named person to find out more.
4) Information about any new chances to share support and experiences
with other parents in the borough.
