MEND - Mind, Exercise, Nutrition…..Do it!

Brief: The MEND Programme is a free community based programme for 7–13 year
old, overweight children and their families. The programme emphasizes
sessions that are designed to be fun. The children and their families will learn
to become fitter, healthier and happier. Mend aim to encourage children and families to change unhealthy attitudes to food and eating. They motivate families to exercise on a regular basis, empowering them to make informed food choices and to show them that to do it is fun, easy and maintainable.
Children will participate in activities designed to improve self confidence and
self esteem whilst making new friends. Children and their families will be invited to twice weekly sessions held over ten weeks. All sessions are led by trained specialists. MEND Programmes are delivered every school term from Lowestoft, Beccles, Great Yarmouth & Gorleston.
